Matthew 18:2 - 6 says
2He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Children teach us so much. Yet we never really stop to watch and learn from them. Innocent, Loyal, and completely in love with Mommy and Daddy. As adults we have long lost our innocense, and we have been betrayed so much we don't even know what Loyalty looks like, and Mom and dad are no longer our first love. Jesus loved to use the child in reference to how we should come to the God of the Universe.
What is the Parallel you might ask?
Innocent, Loyal and Totally in Love with Daddy. The First Commanment tells us what God's heart for us is. Love the Lord Your God with All your Heart, Mind and soul. Jesus used children to show us to totally abandon our fears, hurts, and inhabitions to Follow completely after our Father... God. Are you following Him like a child follows His or her daddy? Stop and think about your love toward God today. You could learn a great lesson from children and follow their example.
Another great lesson from the child. Follow the child in your heart when It comes to God and your relationship with Him.

Loving your blog man. I couldn't agree more with the fact that children teach us so much. Family looks great. How did four good looking people get stuck with such an ugle man?

You have such a beautiful family!I would love to adopt someday. We have three children of our own and are involved with an orphanage in Mexico...we will be returning there to live next year. While in Canada we are foster parents. Our hearts are definately with kids who need a family. Its beautiful to see families that have been so blessed by adoption.
